The Winnebago RV Club (WRVC) was formed in Australia some years ago to enable motorhome owners to maximise
the benefits of the motorhome lifestyle and to share the experience with like minded people.
Neil and Kate Whithear are delighted to bring the WRVC to New Zealand and are working on delivering the same
benefits to NZ members that their Aussie cousins currently enjoy. These include the most competitive insurance on the
market and various discount benefit schemes to ensure you receive lots of savings.
Neil and Kate's main focus of the WRVC in NZ is to bring together it's members through Events and Safaris. The
first of these Safaris - the "Top of the South" Safari kicked off in November 2008 and was a great success. The 10 days Safari started in the Vineyards of Marlborough, then up to the Marlborough
Sounds with a boat cruise, back inland to St Arnaud and then onto the stunning coastline of Nelson. View write up in RV Lifestyle magazine here:
Following the success of the "Top of the South" Safari the "Untouched South" Safari started with a dinner at Fleur's Place, Moeraki in April 2009. The Safari took us from Moeraki, through the Catlins then through Te Anau, Milford and finishing with Tiger Moth flights in Manderville.
"Our Safaris are all about having fun and not imposing strict timelines" says Kate Whithear. "We allow for plenty of free
time and have optional activities organised such as a round of golf and even fishing".
Thinking of taking your motorhome to Australia? Why not join one of the many WRVC Safaris in Australia each year. What better way to see
the country and meet like minded people!
There are very few rules and regulations to the WRVC and these can be viewed here. You do not need to own a Winnebago Motorhome to join
but your motorhome must be under 15 years old and be a factory built motorhome. (The following motorhomes do not quality: Converted Buses or Coaches,
Home built Motorhomes, 5th wheelers, caravans o r other non motorised vehicles)
The WRVC is a family atmosphere that enables you to communicate and socialise with like minded people. We create the lifestyle: it is up to
you to create the memories and we are sure the WRVC will help you to do just that.
